Linda Yaron, M.Ed., CMT, is a USC faculty member in the Department of Physical Education. After seeing the impact meditation had on students in her Yoga and Stress Management for Health Living courses, she developed and launched the new 2-unit Introduction to Mindfulness course for USC PE. Her integrative approach blends theory, research, and practice in mind-body awareness to build resilience, joy, clarity, and compassion. She is certified in mindfulness facilitation through the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center, Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. With over 15 years of teaching experience in Los Angeles, she also holds dual Master’s in Education degrees, a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) certification, and yoga (E-RYT 500) specialty training in yoga therapy and restorative yoga.
